The ticket is not in my name — is that a problem?

Learn whether your ticket needs to be in your name to access an event booked through XCEED. This article explains how ticket names work and what really matters at the entrance.

In most cases, the name on the ticket is not an issue, as long as you have a valid ticket to show at the door.

1. Ticket name and event access

Usually, the name on the ticket does not need to match the name of the person attending the event. What matters is that the ticket is valid and can be scanned at the entrance.

Most events only check the QR code on the ticket, not the name printed on it.

2. When the ticket name may matter

In some specific cases, such as guest lists, special access tickets, or events with strict entry rules, the organizer may ask for an ID that matches the name on the ticket.

If this applies to your event, it will be clearly mentioned in the event information or communicated by the organizer.

If you’re unsure about the entry conditions for a specific event, feel free to contact XCEED support and we’ll be happy to help.
