Use promo codes to reward loyal customers, collaborate with partners, or run limited campaigns. They’re useful for guestlist-style discounts, influencer codes, or private pre-sales. Once created, codes can be shared and reused based on your rules.

1. What access/promo codes do in XCEED

Promo codes allow you to modify how tickets are sold by applying predefined conditions.

With promo codes, you can:

  • Apply discounts to ticket prices

  • Limit ticket access to specific users

  • Control usage by quantity or validity

Promo codes work only on the events and ticket types you assign them to.

2. Create a new access/promo code

Promo codes in XCEED are created by setting limited visibility on a ticket with a promotional price.

  1. Log in to XCEED Pro.

  2. Open the event where you want to apply the promo code.

  3. Go to the ticket creation flow for that event.

  4. Create a new ticket or edit an existing one.

  5. Set the ticket price to the promotional amount.

  6. In the Visibility settings, choose Limited visibility.

  7. Enter the access code that buyers will need to unlock the ticket.

  8. Save the ticket.

The promo code now works as a private access key to that specific ticket.

All other tickets functionalities of tickets like opening and closing sales time, validity and visibility by channel also apply

3. Share and use the promo code

  1. Share the promo code with your audience or partners.

  2. Buyers enter the code during checkout to activate it and proceed with normal check out

5. Best practices for promo/access codes

  • Use clear, simple codes to avoid typos

  • Limit usage to control discounts

  • Avoid overlapping promo codes on the same ticket types

These steps help keep pricing under control.
